WARNER BROS. PUSHES BACK ‘THE GREAT GATSBY’ TO SUMMER 2013

Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan in 'The Great Gatsby'Baz Luhrmann’s highly anticipated adaptation of ‘The Great Gatsby’ has been pushed back to a summer 2013 release.

The film was originally supposed to come out on Christmas Day this year, but Warner Bros. have now changed their mind.

Apparently the decision was made so that Luhrmann could complete the 3D effects in a proper manner, but I reckon it’s because they didn’t want to go up against ‘Les Miserable’, ‘The Hobbit’, Kathryn Bigelow’s Osama Bin Laden picture, and Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’, which all come out around that time.

They needn’t worry though because with Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire, ‘The Great Gatsby’ is going to be better than them all.
