Taken (the first part) was a solid 8/10, which is why I was so excited to see Taken 2. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to my expectation.
The first 15 minutes were pretty boring and the rest of the film was just badly edited action. OK, maybe I’m being a little bit too harsh, but it definitely didn’t play out to its potential.
Liam Neeson was great as always, but just seemed a little bit tired… maybe that’s what he was going for though.
The problem was mainly in the script. The story was pretty weak and there weren’t many, if any, cool action film lines.
I mean, the best bit of the whole film was probably seeing his daughter Kim, Maggie Grace, lounging by the pool in a sexy bikini.
It’s definitely one to watch, just not in the cinema.
