CHELSEA WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

It was a close one, but the Blues did it! Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Final. It feels so good to write that. Not only did they win, they secured themselves a place in next year’s competition.

What a nail-biter. Both teams played well, but Chelsea won on penalties. What a game.

Now it’s time to go party!

JACKIE CHAN QUITTING ACTION MOVIES

The legendary Jackie Chan will no longer be making action films. While promoting his 100^th film, Chinese Zodiac, he said,

“I am not young anymore, I am really, really tired… I want to be a true actor. I want to be an Asian Robert De Niro.”

Haha. Fair enough. I guess he is getting a bit too old to be jumping around all over the place, but he better still make Rush Hour 4!

JENNY McCARTHY RETURNING TO PLAYBOY

I have some titillating news people. Former Playmate of the Year, Jenny McCarthy will be returning to Playboy for the cover of the July/August issue.

The super sexy 39-year-old started her career at Playboy nearly 20 years ago, so this is a pretty huge deal.

She also has her new show, Surprise with Jenny McCarthy, coming out on NBC this fall.

I think I’ll file this one under MILF

DONNA SUMMER HAS DIED

Disco Diva Donna Summer passed away this morning in Florida. The 5-time Grammy winning artist had quietly been battling lung cancer.

She will be remembered for her mega hits that defined the 70’s and 80’s such as Last Dance, Hot Stuff, Bad Girls, and She Works Hard For The Money.

She was 63. R.I.P.

JENNIFER LOPEZ TO LEAVE ‘AMERICAN IDOL’

Jennifer Lopez is thinking about calling it quits on American Idol.

She is yet to make a final decision, but it is looking more and more likely that she will not be returning for a third season.

Sources say that it’s simply down to the fact that she is too busy. She starts her massive concert tour with Enrique Iglesias this summer, and wants to take some time off to spend with her kids.

FOX obviously wants her back pretty badly. Last season they paid her a whopping $20 Million, so they are going to have to offer her something pretty spectacular if they want to try and convince her to stay. Everyone has a figure.

I like J. Lo, but it’s probably a good time to go.

With Britney Spears on The X Factor and Lopez gone, American Idol is going to be in serious trouble. Is this the beginning of the end for Idol?

OK, I have to admit, I am pretty excited about the next season of The X Factor USA. I mean, with Britney Spears on it, how can you not be?

We know that BritBrit will be raking in $15 Million, but what about Demi Lovato?

Well, you can’t really compare the two because Britney is… well Britney, but sources say that Demi will earn just over a $1 Million for the season. Not bad for a 19-year-old.

That Simon Cowell is a clever bastard. He knows Lovato will bring in and connect with the younger audience. He’s got every angle covered. This really is the Dream Team.

FOX CANCELS ‘NAPOLEON DYNAMITE’

Gosh! After only 6 episodes, FOX has decided to cancel Napoleon Dynamite.

They just released their 2012-2013 primetime schedule and the animated series based on the 2004 cult hit isn’t on it.

It was receiving very low ratings, so it’s probably the right decision. You could say it was down to the fact that it came out too many years after the film, but the truth is, it just wasn’t that good.

I guess nobody voted for Pedro in the end.

Don’t worry though because The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and Bob’s Burger will all be back next season.

BRENDAN FRASER SUES THE PRODUCERS OF HIS NEW MOVIE

Brendan Fraser is suing the producers of his new film, ‘The Legend of William Tell: 3D’, for not shooting the film on time.

The producers originally agreed on a play or pay deal, which pretty much means that they have to pay Fraser regardless of whether the film was made or not.

They were supposed to start production back in October 2011, but have now rescheduled to start this September. They have also decided to shoot the film in 2D instead.

Brendan says that he is no longer interested and wants them to pay him $3 Million, which will cover his paycheck and damages. He claims that he turned down several lucrative roles last year to do this film.

Fair enough. He obviously lost out on potential earnings, so the producers should pay. I rule this one in favour of Mr. Fraser.
